The Telrad is much lighter than an 8x50 finderscope, even with the
batteries. Without the batteries it weights nothing.
By the way, it consumes very little and the batteries last ages. I bought
mine two years ago and still has the original batteries.

With a telrad, you wont ever want to look again to a finderscope.
I never make any adjustment each time a place the telrad, and I find the
pointed object in the field of view at first attempt, every time, with 130x
magnification.

The only drawback I see in the Telrad is ists size. It could have been made
smaller.
