FWIW, I have posted an image of an alternative to the Meade and Milburn
wedge on my homepage.

It is massive, very user-friendly, adjustable for low latitudes, and the
design is innovative. I am using one on my pier-mounted LX200-10, and have
been very pleased with the ease of adjustment and stability. The
designer/builder is Jim Mettler, whose email is address posted on the picture
if the viewer's curiosity is piqued.

Cordially,

(hereby SWEARING I have no commercial interest in this thing!!)
