I use NTP all the time. It just runs in the background and syncs up my
Mac's clock once a day. I never worry about wrong time anymore :-)

NTP claims to be accurate to 1 second. I'm not entirely sure how it
accomplishes this feat given the vagaries of the Net, but it doesn't sound
all that hard. Anyway it is far better than needed for your LX200.
