Subject: [M]: 12" LX200 obstruction

A few weeks back we had a little thread about the size of the obstruction
on the 12" LX200. I had measured it as somewhat less than Meade claims in
their documentation. Well, it turns out that I was wrong. Today I had my
corrector off and so I could measure it more accurately. It turns out that
the secondary baffle is cone shaped with the big end toward the primary.
The largest obstruction is at the end of this baffle and is exactly 4
inches, just as Meade states. Mystery resolved.
