Subject: [M]: LX200: Wild Slewing In RA Problem

The other night, my 8" LX200 went nuts. It started slewing unprovoked in RA
and would not stop unless I press the Mode key. If I press the Mode key
again, it will continue to slew to the EAST. Pressing WEST will cause the
scope to slew to the WEST, but as soon as I release the WEST key the slew
starts back to the EAST.
I have tried it at 18v as well as 110v and it still does it.
It was 25f out the other night, but it does it indoors too, so thermal
problems are out.
I swapped keypads and it still does it.
Nothing is connected to the CCD port either.
I have re-sat all of the socketed IC's and all of the connectors with no luck.
I seem to remember a thread on MAPUG many months ago about this. However, I
can not seem to find a searcher for the MAPUG archives that is working.
Does this sound familiar to anyone ??
Thanks!
Kyle
