There is an alternative to Loctite, folks. One of the trade names is
"Nylock", don't know what the others are. This is simply a nut
containing a nylon insert, and should be available all over the U.S. at
better hardware stores, etc. Locks down nice and tight, and I believe
you can get them in stainless. Speaking of which, think I'll look into
replacement stainless bolts for that giant tripod. :)
