Has anyone ever tried this combination before? I understand that the OTA
that Meade sells alone without the mount is 10 lbs lighter because they
dont include the balast weight inside the OTA? If this is the case, would
that 7" Meade Mak fit on a GP mount and be stable enough for visuals? I
have a 4" Meade APO on the mount but am thinking of trying something like
this. Otherwise, maybe a 6" intes f12 may be my alternative? Any comments
on this?
