Ralph,
Thanks for the useful comparision of Nagler vs. Celestron eyepieces.
You questioned whether or not the guy from the Astronomy shop really
exists. He does. I expected the reply's from MAPUG member's would
refute the statement that "Naglers were a waste of money for SCTs."
However, being a novice I felt I should ask for opinions to confirm my
expectations. Even on subjects where I consider myself knowledgeable I
am rarely certain of anything and try to always invite the opinions of
others - including the opinions of astronomy shop owners who have
something against Naglers and SCTs. I am glad this man felt free to
express his opinions, whether I agreed with him or not - I don't wish to
identify him and bring anyone's wrath down upon him.
Finally, I'd like to say that I greatly value everyone's contribuations
to MAPUG, including yours Ralph.
