Evening all! Just wanted to share a little of my off topic joy! After a
meeting tonight at a small private Sunday school I noticed a wall of books
organized by topic. As I was passing by I noticed an astronomy section and
paused for a better look. My eye fell on Burnham's Celestial Handbook and
the sign with read "Books: Hard cover $1, paperback $.50" at the same
time. Needless to say, I took a closer look. I am now a happy camper. I
purchased $20 worth of astronomy books including two complete sets of
Burnham's Celestial Handbook (hardcover and paperback), all three volumes
of Uranometria 2000.0 (hard cover), NGC 2000.0 and Star List 2000, several
Webb Society handbooks and many more. All the books are in EXCELLENT
condition.
The moral of the story (besides Mike is a lucky bastard): Keep your eyes
open in unsual places! Schools, library sales, church or temple sales,
fund raisers, you name it. Look, look look.
Now, where the hell do I put all these books? The shelves are already
overloaded and sagging!
Good night!
Mike
