John:

I just received by Tracker III last week, but bad skies have kept me
indoors. I hope to get some sky0time tonight or certainly by this
weekend. I plan on using it with a film camera and an illuminated
crosshairs for guiding.

In general, my observations are:

1) its all plastic, but well made and appears durable.
2) Its got plenty (maybe too many?) adjustments in case things
get out of alignment.
3) It seems to work smoothly...the view mirror pulls up out of
the light cone, as does the guide prism.
4) The instruction and alignment manual appears to be complete,
if not excessive (there is some duplication)
5) I think the optical calibration is harder to read than
do...but that remains to be seen.

Ill be glad to post operational comments when I can.
