Hi Mike,

The JMI NGF (Jim's Mobile Indusrties Next Generation Focuser) is a nice
line of aftermarket telescope focusers. Many of them are controlled
with electric motors to minimize vibration during focsing. Of
particular interest to us MAPUGers is the NGF-S model. S is for SCT.
As you probably know, virtually all SCTs exhibit some degree of image
shift (or jump) when changing focus due to the motion of the mirror.
This shift can be very annoying when trying to frame up a photograph or
even worse a CCD image. The NGF-S attaches to the back of an SCT and
aleviates this problem by allowing the user to move the eyepiece or
camera instead of the telescope's mirror.

Best Regards,
