For what it's worth;

I too found on my LX200, that if I turned the motor off images got
sharper. One night last fall I noticed Saturn looked good but had a bit
of a blur, I turned off the drive and it got much sharper. That was the
only time I noticed it but, it is probably always present. This was in
AltAz mode too.
