I have recently seen some articles about a new upgrade chip for the lx200 which will correct errors in the 3.3 onboard database. This upgrade should be sent free of charge!!! Their advertising says any of these objects can be centered in the telescope field just by entering and pressing GO TO on the hand controller. I do not think the owners should pay for the errors made by Meade. I purchased my lx200 10" f/6.3 just 30 days ago based on their advertising since I want to use it for CCD imaging. I did not expect a well known company to do false advertising and if the advertising is not false then I expect them to make good on it at no additional expense or refund not only my money, but everyone elses money, if they want to return their defective telescope.
