I am inclined to think we do not have enough evidence to draw any
conclusions about the risk or otherwise of 12 or 18v operation.
Perhaps this is a legitimate thing to survey - I dont like the
idea of assuming that a risk exists without some good evidence.
What we have so far is largely anecdotal.
Some survey questions spring to mind:
For current production electronics
How many have failed & how many OK on 18v?
How many have failed & how many OK on 12v?
How many have replaced more than one motor?
For older v2.XX firmware and electronics
Is it safe to run at 18v? (I run on 12-14v)
How many have failed & how many OK on 12v?
I hesitate to suggest this since the last survey suggestion
provoked a huge explosion of dont do it posts.
