Nick,

LX200 are available in Aust from the SOLE Aust distributer York Optical of Brisbane, Sydney,
Melb, and Perth, the service is mediocre. Meade will not allow its US distributers to send scopes
to Aust, the ones that I rang honored this arrangement. A 10in LX200 costs about Au$6500, to
import one should cost about Au$5400 after currency conversion, sales tax, and freight. This
is considered quite expensive by most people, One Aus dollar = approx .75 Us dollars
The cost of sending the scope back to the states for warranty claims is also a consideration for
those who import their own.
