Herb and David,
I couldn't have said it better! Let me carry the automotive analogy one
step farther, though. Since the auto manufacturers started building new
cars again after WW II, I have bought a bunch of them, cars, pick up trucks
and even an RV. I can not remember a single one of those new vehicles, each
of which cost $$$ more than whatever the top grade amateur telescope was at
the time, that was delivered in top condition or that did not have to go
back repeatedly to the dealer to get it into an acceptable condition! Nuff
said?
