I have a 12 inch Meade LX200 and use both ST6 and ST7. At a focal length of
72 inches the ST6 is perhaps a little undersampled and the ST7 is perfect
when you are using the camera in binned mode i.e. 18u pixels.
You are right that 9u pixels is well suited to F3.3 with the optec reducer
and it works great for me. I am having a colour filter wheel with 2 inch
filters built especially.
