This is why it is critical to use a dual-axis counter-balance system.
Sliding weights along the OTA distort the balance of the scope as it
changes altitude AND azimuth. Placing weight AWAY from the tube has the
same effect as the keal on a sailboat. Think about this before adding heavy
objects onto the tube.
