I've recieved my Magellan II and have spent a couple of sessions at my 16"
DC Starfinder Equatorial. After a bit of tweaking I've got things working
smoothly. I've contacted Software Bisque to determine if they are going to
support the Magellan II with TheSKY. I was told that unless Meade releases
the "code?" into the public domain they would not be able to do so. GEE
that's nice since I've already been using TheSKY for over a year now (used
with my LX-200). I contacted Meade and was told that Epoch 2000 and the
Magellan II were made for each other, and means that I will most likely
have to dole out the $180 for it. The manual says the Magellan II is(?)
compatible with other similar programs, but mentions none of them
(typical).
My questions to all is:
Has anyone made a shareware program to use with the Magellan II yet?
Has anyone used Meades Epoch 2000? If so what's your opinion?
Has anyone been using the Magellan II product (any size scope) if so what's
your opinion?
