I too am always interested in the professional's point of view, and welcome
Meade criticism on the list, to a point. In fact, since Meade left our list,
I should point out that one of the beautiful parts of the mail list is that
we can totally speak our mind w/o being beholdent (sp?) to anyone.

However, as Meade is not on the list, speaking to Meade through it is
fruitless, #1, and to avoid offending some members of the list, we should
probably be specific and un-emotional when we detail the problems we have
encountered.

FYI.. I have heard of many good Meade SCTs floating around, and a good
percentage of not so great ones.. it really does run the gamut. This is
optically of course. Of all the Meade SCTs I have viewed through (4 Meade
SCTs.. ) The were all very good optically as far as I can tell, but not
Excellent (as in a Makutsov, or rare-find SCT)

Thanks! - Todd
