Ron, my impression of the manual is the same as many technical manuals. In some cases you have to know WHERE what your looking up IS in order to find what you are looking up. I often remember that I saw something that I need be can't find it without going trough the manual page by page. Most things are there but I have gone to putting tabs on some pages so I can find what I need when I need it. A more complete indice in the back in addition to the contents in the front might be useful. Its really kind of a personal thing an probably will differ from one user to the next.
