I have used a Pentax 645 for lunar shots with a 7" Mak LX200. It has the
advantage of being able to fit the full Moon into the frame at prime
focus. With 35mm I must use a reducer to make it fit. I have not done
deep sky photos, because the scope is f/15 and I dont have an
autoguider.
Although it doesnt matter with the Moon, I believe that there will be
some vignetting on medium format with all LX200s. Lumicon makes a Giant
EasyGuider that can be used with the 10" and 12" LX200s. It will give
you full 35mm coverage, but I believe will vignette a medium format
image. Still, you get more image area than with 35mm. You could print
the images square, or even round to make the maximum of the format.
