Did anyone see the bolide streak through the heart of Leo @ 01:58:00 C.U.T.
(8:58:00 E.S.T.) this evening?
I was in my yard retrieving my eyeglasses from the accessory tray of my LX200
when my yard lit up. When I looked to see what it was I saw a mag. -3.5
yellow bolide coursing somewhat erratically through Leo northeast of Regulus.
It is bitter cold here in N.Y. and I was in and out photographing M42 and
left my glasses out. Just an accident that I was out at that moment. Anyone
else catch it? Came right in and charted it using TheSky. Apparent start
coord. RA 9h 32m, Dec. 20d 20m. End of trail 11h 36m, 12d 38m.
