The only reason, I brought the subject up was that a while ago there was
a discussion about cleaning corrector plates and eyepieces and everybody
had their own little pet alcohol mixtures. It seems after reading this
article, that regardless how often you clean optical surfaces, ie little
or lots, this procedure may be more effective and cause less mechanical
damage to coated surfaces. I'm sure for quick cleaning of eyepieces,
people will still stick with some alcohol and a cotton bud.
Hope this lx50 owner has finally managed to contribute something
worthwhile to the group albeit off topic.
