Malcolm,

The Winter Star Party is sponsored by the Southern Cross Astronomical Society (Miami, FL) and is held between the last two weeks of February and the first two weeks of March usually during the week of new moon. The location is Camp Wesumpka on West Summerland Key (about 25 miles north of Key West). This year the festivities will be held Feb. 27 through Mar. 5. Due to the limited facilities only 600 are allowed to attend and it's a sellout every year. You just can't beat the 50 - 70 degree weather and the seeing of the keys at that time of year. Most campsites are within 200 feet of the beach.
