Subject: GOTO the closest alignment star ?

I'm working on a method to keep my CCD permanently attached to my LX200.
To accomplish alignment I have a long focus refractor piggy-backed. My
thought is that at the end of each observing session I'd GOTO the nearest
aligment star (or other bright star) and center it on the CCD. I'd then
align the refractor, which is riding piggy-back ona tangent assy, and
lock it down. This way I could just use my guide scope for setting up
the LX200 at the next session and the CCD would be darn near focused. It
would also make less time consuming to pack and unpack each observing
session.
Any suggestions on how to GOTO a nice bright star thats real close by, without scanning the manual for star numbers ??
Thanks in advance !
