While the above makes sense, I do not necessarily agree with this statement in all circumstances, one of the nice aspects of this list is that you can ask for some support from fellow users that may just solve a problem in a simple way, before you ever need to pick up the phone. Customers support may take quite a bit longer, and if the problem was really NOT a defect, you may be able to save a lot of people some time...
