I am interested in astrophotography with my 8" LX200 and know very little
about what equipment I need except for what I have read. I would appreciate
feedback from anyone with hands on experience with specific hardware. I am
principally interested in deep space objects rather than lunar or planatary.
I know I need an off axis guider, illuminated reticle eyepiece, camera (I have
an OM-1), camera adapter (T-Ring), and wedge. I don't know if I need anything
else such as counterweights, special focusing screen, electric focuser, etc.
For quality photos I know I will need to teach my scope what periodic errors
it has. Any comments, recommendations, or guidance would be greatly
appreciated.
I am fairly new to this group so I am sorry if this is already been discussed. I have looked through the Gems section and did not find a thread on this topic.
